As we all know, optical fiber laser cutting machine is an expert in cutting metal plates and has been widely used. What effects will be produced and what aspects should be paid attention to in cutting imperfect metal plates - rusty metal plates?
1. Cutting rusty plates will reduce the processing efficiency, the cutting quality will be poor, and the product scrap rate will be increased accordingly. Therefore, if conditions permit, the rusty plates shall be used as little as possible during the sheet metal processing process or the rusty plates shall be treated before use.
2. In the process of plate cutting, especially when drilling and cutting, the holes may explode, which may cause pollution to the protective lens. This requires us to treat the rusted plates first. For example, if we use a grinder to remove rust, of course, the plates below 5mm have little impact, mainly the rusted thick plates. However, the cutting quality will still have an impact, which is lower than the quality of the qualified plates.
3. The overall uniform cutting effect is better than the uneven rusted plate. If the overall uniform rusted plate absorbs the laser relatively evenly, it can cut better. For uneven rusted sheet metal, it is recommended to treat the surface, and then conduct laser cutting of sheet metal.
